the background is nice, but eggman is really stiff and kind of gangly(not in his usual way)

Try taking a look at some dance videos and see how their limbs overlap in 3D space, this drawing feels like a very surface-level understanding of how the limbs move in 2D

thanks ! and ye, i could improve for another time with the right practice. tho this was more of a learning experience just to see how things are and how they work, and it being on 15 fps contributed to it. gotta start somewhere i suppose! heh

Excellent short, the punk on camera left is animated way better than the character on the right. I'd love to see you do more stopmo on this site :)

Yes, he absolutely is, because that puppet was mostly animated by my way more talented co-director/animator for this film! If you use Twitter at all, I recommend following his account linked in the description here, I think he plans on starting to post there in the near future!

I love the uneasiness of the actively moving shots and the wide angle lens sells the discomfort of the alert really well :)

beautiful comp work! decent character acting, it's funny to see scenes of gumball reimagined in a different way cause they're already ridiculous at the start

Great chimp designs and illustrations. The conflicting shapes is very classic and there's a lot of good build up at the start that leads to "just okay" animation tweening and a punchline only as strong as your weakest illustration. Seriously, the charcoal drawings are the best part!

I could see this as the opening to a much longer short film
