This video could've worked a lot better if the speaker had a lot more energy for this. Take for example Lyle McDouchebag's work:

He makes it clear the character he plays doesn't want to be there by making side remarks, but he's always loud and clear in what he's saying. Even though he doesn't want to be there talking about some dumb shit he doesn't care about, he takes the time to enunciate his words as if pretending to care so when he makes those loud side comments it comes off sharper.

ClassicRandy responds:

Thanks for the helpful feedback! I can totally see what you're talking about. I'll definitely try to improve on that in the future.

Great work dood!
Great timing, humor and an awesome monologue to package the whole thing. This series doesn't seem to be dying down anytime soon.

I needed this badly, so relatable, such a strong message and thank you for making it.

Wow, this animation looks like it really was made by someone drinking a lot of alcohol while making it. It's not funny; anywhere there seems to be a "joke" the video relies on the viewer to just laugh at the fact he said alcohol or the idea of someone being drunk. You can also see the face visibly lagging behind the head when it moves. The only way I can see this was intentional is if the creator was trying to make a 3D head turn, but none of the parts squished as though they might be cresting over a hemisphere on the head.
I can recommend watching a tutorial by Ross Plaskow on the matter. Just google the name, it comes up quick.
It also got really repetitive about a fourth of the way through too.

It was very on the nose and even a little cringe at first. It's not too hard to pull off that kind of Tomska-y-ish humor but you probably made it cringy intentionally.
Anyway I stuck out to the end and got a giggle. Good job

AwkwardIisko responds:

Thanks man! :D I hope I didn't make it too cringy tho'. I don't want people to suffer because of my awkward humor :P

You have some really amazing pixel/sprite work but there's not much substance to the story. It's not compelling and a bit blatant.

Stuff like(not exactly what you did but how it comes across):
"I"mmmmmmm singing about character development, because I am a character"
"I'm really upset right now so now I guess I just won't be and do something else?"
"I'm in trouble so I should transform, *transforms* woah! Who expected that!?"

I'm not trying to sound mean, I just need to make sure what I'm saying is exaggerated enough that you understand my point. I also point this out because the entire feel of the toon comes off as serious with humor sprinkled in(not a total comedy) so when these type of lines happen the viewer is supposed to take it seriously but can't.

PopNebulaDreamer responds:

I'm glad you like the animation. Episode 5 turned a bit dark because Vallow is shown as the main character. That's why I wanted to open with the Mana twins song to counteract the dark element Vallow brought to the show.

There's actually quite a bit of story I wasn't able to add because I ran out of time animating this one, but thank you for the review! : )

Not terrible, the tracking on the striped shirt is funky though

I make stuff; sometimes for money, but always for fun.
