Lawl the episode's start. Yea, people are conditioned at this point to expect 5s and get upset/annoyed with anything lower

Aalasteir responds:

Absolutely true.

Movies and games: ARE often subject to much more critical evaluation compared to art and audio.

Still, the reviews they receive tend to be perceived more positively, when accompanied by elaborate compliments, an understandable joke, or a well-placed quote. At times, this can generate a multitude of positive emote reactions: Incentivizing the behavior, yes I have played parts in furthering this zeitgeist.

In-depth reviews of art and audio can sometimes be misconstrued as signs of aggression. HOWEVER; THIS SHOULD NOT BE INTERPRETED AS SUCH. It is not advantageous for the creator to be confined to an echo chamber. Constructive criticism provides them with potential avenues to grow and improve at a much quicker pace, as they gain insight into areas for deconstruction.

For those who criticize critics, they often assert that it is merely one individual's perspective. Nevertheless, having even one perspective is infinitely more valuable than having NONE.
Especially when the reviewer is very familiar with the field; providing valuable insight.
In addition, I would confidently state that reviews from individuals who are not familiar with the field still offer a valuable perspective. They should not be automatically scoffed at due to their inexperience with the production pipeline. Not utilizing correct terminology.

The active viewer, who is interested in engaging with an artist's creation, should NOT be mocked simply because they are unfamiliar with the processes. A better option would be to provide them with a respectful message explaining how your production functions, rather than "Asserting Intellectual Dominance" over an individual who is genuinely interested in sharing their thoughts with you.

Each individual possesses their own unique specializations and skill sets. There is boundless potential for enhancing abilities from one's initial starting point. Learning is an adventure!

Good guest, but lots of places that'd benefit from a cut to help the pacing and energy. Could easily shave off 30 minutes of the pauses, thinking, and jokes that dont land for a reaction by the other speaker

Aalasteir responds:

Thank you, you're right. I will try to be more critical and thoughtful with editing.

FLOWY

carries the vibe of a tough noir detective lounging in his smokey office

works pretty well with the art piece!

I'm gonna avoid listening on bandcamp if you're dropping the next track each day, it's more fun that way :)

ZaneLittle responds:

wilidacious responds:
