I'm not sure what lives in that habitat, but I can say it has a nice, subtle contrast and gestalt approach.
Monochromatic backgrounds have a special place in my heart; they look great without stealing the viewer's focus from animated subjects(if it's used in that way of course). The undetailed look given by the individual scribbles add to that effect even more so.

Great swamp background. The blue-green water is perfectly murky and the hotter colors in the background make for an eerie fog.

The colors are awesome. It's extremely vibrant with colors across the entire range but my eyes never feel overwhelmed and the grunge texture to the brush makes it all feel complete.

Sirmi responds:

damn, I really appreciate that!

Great use of colors and a soft background that doesn't take the focus away. The contrast between Bowser Jr.'s eyes and his silhouette make it a good image rather than what could've been otherwise generic or boring.
I do agree you could've done more with this image, but what it is IS some nice art and it's never a good idea to dawdle too long on just one piece.

I wish I could favorite all of your art, but that would get annoying.
You're just so amazingly consistent with solid composition. Great fanart for a great looking game, hope to play it myself really soon.

ZeTrystan responds:

Thanks a bunch! :'D Hahaha. I'm trying my best, so it's nice you like what I draw.
(This game is really simple and nice, I love it)

Love the blue and red accents on the eyes and cig, your near-iconic-now RGB split and definitely-iconic hair tufts. I'd like to see more images utilizing his whole outfit(that jacket), Hector needs some more love.
The gradation on top of shadows and the effect overlays really make him feel solid. To what he's thinking about... it could be life... with Nicholas. #bromance

ZeTrystan responds:

My near-iconic RGB split... oops. Do I overuse it? :'D HAHAHA

I actually have to draw many different outfits of Hector and Nicholas, so it maybe be coming, eventually! :)

And yeah. I think you're totally right.

I was just talking about you and I was blessed with a new Steven Universe art.
This'll be at the top like the last one in no time!

ZeTrystan responds:

You were TALKING about me? :'D Should I be scared? Hahaha.
(and thanks! Always with the simple composition, but I love doing those, haha)

Great composition and colors as always. I really like the RGB split, makes for a hazy/dazed effect.

Cheers to all the Hectors of the world!

ZeTrystan responds:

RGB splitting is my shit right now, hahaha.
And thanks a lot, mate! \o/

Rad as heck, great colors and composition.

Weird it's not a full moon when the wolf-dog-man comes out. Guess that's just movies programming my brain. Also title suggestion: "Werewolf in London" though it looks more like "Dog-man ****ing up Detroit"

I make stuff; sometimes for money, but always for fun.
