Excellent color and gestalt brushwork. The composition comes together nicely and detail exists but it's very loose and gestural

Fu do this more you idiot, firs tone looks like a 3D model in Blender

FuShark responds:

Look you meanie. I'm going to keep doing it to study but until I'm pulling it from my dome piece it's nothing too special to paint from reference lol.

Thanks!

Just wow, really nailing the icing sheen and skin tones. Face looks a little off and the torso is sadly not rendered as beautifully but by no means worse.

Comes off cheaply blurred. It looks as though the original image was drawn and then shrunk to create faux pixel art and then enlarged again. Next time try doing this without resampling(or using Photoshop's Nearest Neighbor) for harder edges and less colors being used. It's a good way to start outlining for pixel art but overall an inferior look to careful planning and placement.

RobxSteed responds:

Well shit lol. Thanks for the constructive criticism I suppose. I drew it tiny (200x200) but my phone makes it super blurry so I scaled it up. I'm still figuring out how to go about drawing pixel stuff.

Try applying more intense foreshortening when you go for this kind of camera angle. I know making the legs super-squish during lineart can feel like a sin but when you don't the characters tend to float above the plane you set your background on. The closer you are to camera the bigger you get so the butt probably still wouldn't be larger than the torso. You could also employ more overlapping; since we're looking down we may see her should and then the cookie plate, obscuring most of her bottom half. Drawing less of the character sometimes makes a more impactful illustration

That's an incredibly interesting pose and composition. I'd love to see a fully rendered version someday

Ah a relatable doodle, yes?

Love the composition colors and content. Sasha is a free spirit somewhere

stellar composition and subject, good blend of colors, solid 5

This just looks blurry like an immensely scaled down image. Try limiting your palette, start with primary contours and then fill in zones will flat colors before developing details. Moawling on the site here has some great reference sheets and demos on Twitter

I make stuff; sometimes for money, but always for fun.
