150 goddamn artist and you chose flash?
Literally the worst possible way to present uncompressed artwork
The preloader is struggling just to show the logo...

Nice main menu
Next time you should load the artworks in a random order, some artists will never get seen if you gotta click 100 times

ElRandomGMD responds:

Okay

YendorNG responds:

Thanks Brandy. We will see you at TMG to discuss further. >:)

QueenBoo responds:

Gonna guess it’s a learning process for everyone here LMAO

BoiledMilkz responds:

Well if it works, it works!

KeatonGamer1248 responds:

Sorry about that. I have completely no control over what game engine they use. I do think Flash is a bit nostalgic though! Heh...

CheddarExuberant responds:

Thanks for your input dude and happy Valentine’s! Hopefully an update can get rolled out soon

sereneFalconer responds:

I have 100 monkeys at a typewriter typing out your ip address dumbass, as soon as one of them gets it youre fucking done

(Jk love u brandy)

Questtrek responds:

Honestly, that's fair. Anyone with a number in their username will always be first in these collabs. Random would be much more fair.

As nostalgic as flash is, something based on HTML5 might be better. It doesn't really matter though, as the resolution of our submissions was capped at 800 by 750 pixels, so it wasn't too difficult to load, but I also have a good computer and a fast connection, so I'm not the best person to gauge this.

But yeah, based comment. Minor sad face for not showing score though...

half these prompts are awful and apply to multiple things

I also wish when you get the correct answer or wrong answer it tells you the name of the head you actually clicked on

shit font, A's and O's are the same (e.g. "shove it off")

lick my clit pod-chan, "beep boop" my lord do you think you're goddamn boyfriend with that ****ing dumbass prompt my lord who the **** decided "dated a guy" should be the prompt for a goddamn character that revitalized the website. Dungeon, I just want answers :`(

nobody knows the gaaaame MAFIA it's called goddamn WEREWOLF

sunnyside question is duped(more accurately sausage game doesnt have a prompt so in its place the previous question gets duplicated)

I do like the willard worm prompt, good job

I got all 105 and then the medal popped, but the screen went black and it said I didn't actually get the medal :/

Half the time I'm worried I'll get a wrong answer because dragging the cursor around to select is dreadful, and it has acceleration! whhhyyyyyyyyyyyy

Dungeonation responds:

I'm open to suggestions for prompts <3
I JUST tweaked a few

Intrapath responds:

Yeah there are some really fair points here lol, the controls really took me some getting used to too

arrow keys would be nice

also why is the parallelogram man jam not on newgrounds???

Jacob responds:

I'll upload that track sometime in the next couple of days!

LeviRamirez responds:

done! Arrow keys are a thing now! (Thought they were to begin with lol)

kek, don't re-upload other people's work

davidgamerguy responds:

if it doesnt work then refresh it cause sometimes it crashes

Random lag spikes on mobile Android are especially annoying in the drop segment when the car speeds up just at the worst moments. The touch controls are super satisfying and fun but wildly innacurate thumb placement for shooting the laser beams at the floating bat guys.

Love the gameplay and aesthetic, really tight experience and polish on desktop

EDIT: Jeff you make pretty cool logos, how about some mobile GUI for the thumb shift?

TomFulp responds:

Lag spikes will hopefully improve over time, either as Ruffle gets better or phones get better.

The thumb placement for shooting on mobile is intentional so you can see what you are shooting - we actually pass a flash var to let the game know it's on mobile, so it changes the targeting to be above your finger. Blame Jeff for wanting that!

JohnnyUtah responds:

man, fuck off buizel what

excellent job, fun music and decent progression with the potion complexity. The recipe book shows a lot of foresight in being simple enough to flip through constantly. I like the story mode and the fact you can just drop full portions by rushing. The sprites leave a little bit to be desired and I think the definitive edition of this game would be a little higher res so there's even distribution of pixels throughout every aspect on screen(the items at the bottom row are equally detailed to the room above, treat the whole screen like it has a specific number of pixels to display everything so the art instantly becomes more consistent).

P.s. thank you for what you do in your review livestreams on youtube

FutureCopLGF responds:

Cheers! Thanks for the detailed feedback, and thanks for all you do as well! I agree that the graphics not being consistent in pixel size is a bit wonky for the purists: there was a lot of scaling and rescaling after the initial drawing which led to that inconsistency which could've been fixed if I planned better at the start. I'll look into the Unity pixel-perfect camera stuff for next time, perhaps.

Controls tightly, quick UI navigation, it looks really goo, but basic design flaw is I'm presented with waaaayyy too much information at the start.

This game's already not my cup of tea but I would have liked to be eased into this with maybe a small setup, only one infantry type, and scale up from there. I wouldn't have been surprised if after the tutorial and all that text the game was like "great! that was all hypothetical, lets do the real thing" and crush the time it took to beat the tutorial in my soul and leave me to re-setup my troups forgetting everything i was just hand-held into doing

Rarykos responds:

I know you mean! I'm sorry for that, I made a very simple tool to place units and then it transformed into a game, so that's why the setup stayed this way :(

Thank you for playing!

It's the visual embodiment of slicing a dude's head off and sheathing your blade as it falls... the video game.
Very classic opening and great use of a limited palette!

Oultrox responds:

Thank you man, you got it right ;) Tomato indeed did a great job.

It looks good, it's fun, it's pretty well balanced, my only gripe is the platforming. Your character is so weightless that jumping and falling at constant speeds throw me off, and sliding down holes just big enough for your character to fit will take a bunch of tiny taps left or right to slide in. Maybe tapping down near those holes could allow you to slide down the walls below you.
Otherwise, great game!

VeryEvilTomato responds:

I'm glad you had fun even with these issues :) Pretty fair feedback

I make stuff; sometimes for money, but always for fun.
